Initiatives Rooted in Business Activities :
Providing new ways to learn by incorporating digital technology into education
Incorporating digital technology into education makes it possible to enhance children's capacity to understand and their motivation to learn. The Benesse Group is promoting the adoption of digital technology in the respective domains of its correspondence course business, school and teacher support business and prep school business. In doing so, the Group will continue to provide new educational formats that make learning and understanding an exciting and fun experience.

V-style is a visual learning service aimed at better addressing the need for exam preparation strategies targeting multi-subject examinations due to an increase in the number of students taking the National Center Test and the diversification of the entrance exam system. The service is also designed to increase the benefits of intensive short-term exam preparation strategies. With this service, students can repeat exercises while watching a lecture video categorized by theme. Students can work on necessary exercises intensively in a short period of time.

UP Inc. provides "E-Lecture," an educational service that enables students to participate in live (interactive) distance learning lessons attended by multiple students using the Internet. The service also provides a video on demand (VOD) distance learning system, which enables students to view lessons at their convenience. In the live (interactive) distance learning lessons, a key feature of "E-Lecture," students can use a "Response" button to quickly and easily communicate with the instructor as if they were responding to the lecture in real time. Through this function, UP is seeking to build a system that allows students to participate in lessons even more proactively than they would in a real classroom setting. In this manner, UP is developing a lesson format that can only be achieved on the Internet.
