Basic Stance and Measures to Eliminate Antisocial Forces

In accordance with rules applicable to the entire Group, the Company shall reject demands made by antisocial forces, and shall not provide any economic benefit or special favors to antisocial forces under any circumstances. The effectiveness of the measures will be ensured by keeping the Group's directors and employees informed, and by collecting compliance information through a whistleblowing the Benesse Group Speak-Up Line and the Audit & Supervisory Board Member Hotline as internal reporting mechanisms.

The Company is establishing a system to collect information from relevant administrative authorities and to maintain close contact with those authorities and external professionals so that when a problem arises it can be dealt with promptly as an organization.
