Consolidated net sales increased 10.5% year on year in fiscal 2008, to ¥24.8 billion.

This increase mainly reflected the boost to sales from the June 2008 transfer to Telemarketing Japan, Inc. of the call center operations controlled by Marubeni Corporation affiliate comPartners Co., Ltd.

In terms of earnings, this business posted an operating loss of ¥0.3 billion, compared with a fiscal 2007 operating loss of ¥0.7 billion. The operating loss was narrowed by reducing expenses at "Benesse Channel," a free broadcasting service, and taking other actions.
