Risk Management Framework
Each Benesse Group company identifies and evaluates risks connected with their respective businesses each year, and prepares a response policy and plan according to this evaluation. These policies and plans of Benesse Group companies are reported to the Chief Risk Management Officer (CRO).
Based on these reports, the Risk and Compliance Committee, whose brief is to promote risk management activities for the entire Benesse Group, evaluates and studies Group risks, including countermeasures. The results are regularly reported to the Representative Director and President and the Board of Directors, and improvements are made based on their directions. In addition to operating a risk management PDCA cycle, the Benesse Holdings Group promotes risk management activities during normal times.
Benesse Holdings has formulated the Benesse Group Risk Management Rules for responding to a crisis. The rules create a simple, clear, response structure for transmitting information to Benesse Holdings quickly in times of crisis.
